Online spelletje: You Have To Burn The Rope

Na een lange tocht vol gevaren sta je eindelijk voor de eindbaas. Het is de legendarische Grinning Colossus! Hier heb je al die tijd naar toe geleefd. Onze held is gewapend met een hakbijl die je met elke knop op het toetsenbord kunt gebruiken. Alleen is de eindbaas niet gevoelig voor hakbijlen. Hoe ga je dat oplossen? Wat moet je doen om You Have To Burn The Rope uit te spelen? Zou de oplossing soms als cryptische hint verborgen kunnen zijn in de titel?

Translating other languages with a software (like Babelfish) is a horrible experience. I wish I could speak dutch so I didn’t have to guess what the bad grammar that comes out on the other end means.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for your kind remarks about the song. It really helps me in my future music endeavors. The song is downloadable for free (art is free!) from my website.

After a long journey filled with many dangers, you finally made it to the last boss. It’s the legendary Grinning Colossus! This is the moment you’ve been waiting for. Our hero is armed with an axe that can be used with any button on the keyboard. Altough you can’t actually hurt the final boss with the axe. What to do? How are you going to finish You Have To Burn The Rope? Could the anwser be cryptically hidden in the title?
Play this game. It will only take you an minute and a half and it’s a guaranteerd way to start your day with a smile.

In fact, it’s almost an artistic statement: how much gameplay does a game really need? Do ten boring levels really add something to the experience, or can a final battle feel epic even without a long history before it?

The absolute highlight of You Have To Burn The Rope are the ending credits, mostly because of the brilliant song the game sings to you. If this is going to be a new trend, after Still Alive last year, then I am very much in favor! Don’t miss it!

haha erik,.. dat heb ik idd wel eens gezegt,.. maar moest ook zeker hardoplachen bij dit spel. misschien heeft mijn docu dan toch een beetje zin gehad,.. ps: mijn game die ik nu aan het maken ben voor mijn afstuderen word ook erg cool. eind juni is die klaar en laat ik je zeker iets over weten. als je wil kan je een tester zijn 1 mei.

By the way, if people are having trouble playing the game they can solve it by updating their flash player to the latest version. So far you’re our only dutch representative that we know of so it’s your responsibility to let people know
